Stick Together Program a huge success

This winter the Nighthawks launched the Stick Together Program, providing free hockey programming for Indigenous Youth. The project is supported by the Community Sport for All Initiative (CSAI) and Field Hockey Canada’s Stick Together grant. The program’s focus is on inclusion, fun and participation and introduces the sport to youth aged 8-13.

The program is not only providing free sport-education but also transportation and access to equipment. If you know someone who may benefit from this program please have them reach out! To learn more visit the program page.

Schedule is now up!

The full schedule for the season is already posted and registration will be open by mid-February. Click the calendar icon to see the schedule!

How to get you AND your friend $20 off registration:

U10 and U12 are the seeds in our garden. We are always looking to recruit new juniors. This season, if you recruit a new U10 or U12 athlete to the Nighthawks you AND the new player will receive a $20 coupon to use for any future Nighthawk Program. When the new player registers they will just let us know who referred them and BOOM you’re both on the “free-$20-coupon-list”. The returning Nighthawk doesn’t have to do anything differently during registration.

Registration will be open in mid-February so make sure to check back often to register here!

School Programs - Looking for Teachers

The Nighthawks have been running clinics in elementary and middle schools for over a decade. We need your help to connect us with teachers at your school so we can continue to spread the word about field hockey!

We will bring our own equipment, coaches, and prizes and can run the clinics indoors or outdoors.

If you are a teacher interested in having a clinic at your school send us an email at info@nepeanfieldhockey.ca

The Nighthawks are Hiring!

Thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs Program we are hiring 4 staff members to help us run the club and deliver on our biggest projects! The CSJ eligibility is for Canadians 30 years and under. All four positions will be full time for 16 weeks from $15-20/hr. We are looking for:

  • Operation Coordinator
    • This person will be responsible for the planning and delivery of programs. This is a big job! We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, has self initiative, and isn’t afraid to talk to strangers.
  • Assistant Operation Coordinator
    • This person will support the Operation Coordinator to ensure the programs are delivered with the highest quality! We are looking for someone with energy, who is a great problem solver, and can adapt to changes with ease.
  • Communications Coordinator
    • This person will be taking on a very important role that is beyond content creation. We are looking for someone to help plan and deliver a communications strategy. We are in need of content creation, marketing ideas, and engaging strategies. Knowledge of the Meta Business Suite is a hugggeee bonus.
  • Community Project Consultant
    • This person will be working on The Centre Project full time. We need someone with experience in community engagement and business plans.

If you or someone you know are looking for a summer job please send them our way! We will be sharing the full job postings by March and hope to have them on the team by April.
