Over the last few months many of our Nighthawk members have been busy playing, umpiring and coaching in the National Captial’s High School League.  Many of our boys have been busy out there supporting the league by umpiring, which was very much appreciated by all due to the shortage this year of trained referees.

As for our girls we have seen some great play and leadership by many of our girls on Nepean, Pius, Borden, LDH, Bell, and of course John McCrae.  All of you clearly stood out on your teams and you should all be congratulated.

Of particular note were Caroline Rozon and Halley Chopra who led John McCrae to an undefeated season in the league with an impressive 9-0 record with a big ZERO goals against in the league.  Both girls played amazingly well all season.  They went on to win a bronze medal at this year’s OFSAA.

Caroline Scores on Stroke

Caroline played incredibly well at defense and went on to score on her penalty stroke to help clinch the Bronze.

Congratulations to both Caroline and Halley – well done on bringing back an OFSAA medal to Ottawa.  That has not been done since 1994!
