The 2009 Ottawa Sports Awards recognized a star-studded collection of the Ottawas finest athletes, coaches and sport volunteers both on and off the field of play.

Jocelyn Mitchell

Playing field hockey 6 years.
4 years at Earl of March Secondary School
2 years at University of Maine
 – she has received a full scholarship for 4 years

Jocelyn had a great season this past year.  She is fun to watch as she is tenacious on the field.  

US National Stats:
Ranked 31 in Points per game, 1.95 points
Ranked 24 in Goals per game 

Conference Stats:
Jocelyn was 4th in shots, 3rd for points, 2nd for goals and 4th in Game winning goals.
Jocelyn was named to the All-American East second team.

Nepean Nighthawks Stats:
Jocelyn’s team was 1st in the Ottawa Premier Field Hockey league.
Superstar in the teams 2nd place finish in the National Capital Cup.
Coach of the ‘Shining Knights’ – Middle School Tournament Champions!

Way to go Joce – we are proud of you…….
