Nighthawks elect a new Board of Directors and prepare for new era. Ottawa, Ontario, March 30, 2021

The Nepean Nighthawks held their annual general meeting this month on March 3rd and elected a new board of directors, including a new president, Halley Chopra. The new board also includes treasurer Manu Singh, and Directors Patrick Kelly, Maureen Chopra, and Erin Hemm.

The new board members will be leading the Nighthawks in some exciting new projects over the next few years including the development of new training programs and a fundraising campaign for a new field hockey facility in Ottawa. The new board members are looking forward to serving the Ottawa field hockey community and upholding the core values of the Nighthawks, while continuing to develop and grow the organization.

While 2020 was a challenging year facing the COVID-19 pandemic, and the many changes to programming that went with it, players were still able to get out on the fields and the Nighthawks remain optimistic about the future.

As a community based, volunteer driven organization, the Nighthawks are dedicated to the development of field hockey in the Ottawa community. They strive to strike a balance between the development of athletes and the life-long love of sport. Visit NepeanFieldHockey.ca for information about their programs.
