Nepean Nighthawks are committed to developing officials at the community and provincial levels. We currently have 10 certified and 20 trained umpires (field tests pending). Our umpires have been contributing at the community level and for the National Capital Secondary School Association for some time now and we will continue to train and provide opportunities for Officials in the region.
Field Hockey Canada administers the certification process which consists of in class seminar, a written test and a field test. If you are interested in becoming a certified umpire, please contact us. Certification events can be requested by the Nighthawks once enough interest is shown for a session.
