OBJECTIVE
TG1 is a competitive training program for junior Nighthawk athletes to excel in competition. This program is for athletes who consider field hockey their primary sport for the duration of the program. This season’s program will include field hockey training, fitness training, and sport-psychology preparation.
AGE GROUP
2025 will be for girls aged 13 to 18.Â

PROGRAM EVENTS
ASSESSMENT • MINTO FIELD • APRIL
Tuesday April 8th, 5:30-7:00 pm
The coaches and evaluators will assess all athletes registered for the TG1 program to create baseline metrics. This will allow the coaches to design the TG1 program to meet the needs of the athletes and have a baseline to track progress throughout the season.
TG1 TRAINING • MINTO FIELD • APRIL – JULY
Hockey skills, tactics, team training, fitness training, and sport-psychology preparation will be part of the TG1 program. This training is in addition to your regular Nighthawk training. The frequency of this training will be once a week on Tuesdays from 5:30-7pm.
COMPETITON • VARIOUS
This year the team will be scheduled to participate in some of the following competition depending on the group’s availability:
- Kingston Festival – May 10-11
- Kitchener-Waterloo Firefest – May 24-25
- Nepean Junior Fest – May 31 – June 1
- Brampton Warriors Tournament – June 14-15
- Canadian National Championships for provincial teams – U18s July 24-27, U16s July 31 – Aug 3
PREPARATORY MATCHES • VARIOUS • MAY – JULY
The TG1 team will participate in various matches against other clubs on various Sundays. This may include limited travel, but we will try to keep it local while still finding competitive competition.

 The tentative total cost for the program is the following:
